Atlanta Beltline, Inc. is the official implementation agency for the Atlanta Beltline, the 22-mile rail-to-trail conversion that’s one of the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment programs in the United States. The Atlanta Beltline is building a more socially and economically resilient Atlanta with our partner organizations and host communities through job creation, inclusive transportation systems, affordable housing and public spaces for all.Reporting to the Arts and Culture Manager, the Arts and Culture Intern will play a key part in supporting public art initiatives that enhance our community. The Arts and Culture Intern will work closely with different stakeholders to handle documentation, help with project coordination, and be a part of creating impactful public art programs. This position is a fantastic chance to connect with artists and get involved in meaningful cultural projects, all while building experience in arts administration.This internship will begin in January 2026 and continue through the summer.Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor an employment Visa at this time.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain records, contracts, and documentation for public art projects.Assist in coordinating artist contracting materials for contract development.Conduct research to support the preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence related to public art initiatives.Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and financial reporting.Develop and maintain databases of artists, vendors, and community contacts.Assist in project planning, from proposal development to final installation.Ensure compliance with city policies and permitting requirements.EducationCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or a Graduate degree in Arts Administration, Public Administration, Fine Arts, or a related field required.CompetenciesExperience in program coordination, arts administration, or a related field preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.Experience working with artists, city government, or public agencies is a plus.Interest in public art policies, funding mechanisms, and community engagement best practices.Strong organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and database management.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.Understanding of the impacts of institutional and systemic barriers on marginalized communities and a commitment to integrating equity and inclusion throughout all facets of work.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsHybrid-based with occasional site visits to public art installations.Some evening and weekend work for community events and meetings may be required.Ability to lift up to 20 lbs for event setup if necessary.
