AsPac HSE&C Advisor

Manage and maintain high standards of safety performance within the Downstream Retail business to reduce injuries, incidents and near misses. This role will work collaboratively across the organization to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, security & environment (HSSE) performance by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. The role also supports implementation of new initiatives to improve safety culture and performance across the region.Key Responsibilities Conducts HSSE audits and self-verification to identify gaps in compliance against local regulations, industry codes and BP’s global policies and processes. Facilitates process safety management for frontline operations, including risk assessments, safety procedures and emergency response plans. Provides guidance on occupational medicine and ergonomics, working closely with medical professionals to ensure employees receive appropriate care and support. Promotes sustainability through waste minimization programs and environmental stewardship initiatives. Collaborates with stakeholders across the business to enhance safety leadership and promote a strong process safety culture. Monitors trends in safety performance and implements strategies to address underperforming sites or units. Develops and delivers training programs to upskill employees on HSSE matters. Stays updated on regulatory changes and industry developments related to HSSE and shares knowledge across the organization.Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field. Proven experience in managing HSSE functions within the oil and gas industry, preferably with a multinational company. Strong understanding of local regulations and industry codes related to health, safety, security and environment. Experience conducting HSSE audits and implementing corrective actions based on findings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with senior leaders and employees at all levels.
