ON TRACK WITH BLACKDescriptionThe Asphalt and Paving Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the paving crew and managing the day-to-day operations, but not limited to communication with truck drivers; handling the aspects related to plant personnel and customers; scheduling and necessary maintenance.Responsibilities and Duties (but not limited to the following)Oversee the day-to-day operations of asphalt paving projectsEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulationsCoordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholdersDevelop project plans and schedulesMonitor the quality of materials and workmanshipSupervise paving crews and provide guidance and trainingInspect completed work to ensure it meets specificationsManage project budgets and control costsHandle any issues or emergencies that arise during the projectPrepare reports and documentation for project progressRequirementsMust have at least 5 years of verifiable experience as an Asphalt Paving Superintendent or Supervisor.Proven track record of managing paving projectsAt least 2 years of experience in the construction of HMA Pavement Runways, Taxiways, Apron or Aircraft ParkingKnowledgeable in trouble shooting of HMA Paving Problems such Segregation, Density and Smoothness Issues.Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and equipmentAttentive to detail and knowledgeable in FAA and/or US Air Force Asphalt Paving Quality, Specifications and Job Mix Formula.Experience in FAA and/or US Military Projects is a plus.Ability to work under tight deadlinesPhysical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditionsCertifications in construction safety and project managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsKnowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's licenseMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and its TerritoriesMust be able to work on U.S. Military Project(s) based in Northern Mariana Island / TinianBlack Construction builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
