Company Description www.afccalgary.org Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for an Administrative Assistant at the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary. The role involves providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to the CEO and team, scheduling and managing calendars, coordinating meetings and events, maintaining records, and preparing documents for internal and external use. The Assistant will be based in Calgary, AB, with opportunities to work from home as needed. Qualifications Administrative and organizational skills, including scheduling, record-keeping, and managing correspondenceAuthentic knowledge and respect for Indigenous culture and traditions, including languages and CeremonyStrong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, emails, and documentsProficiency in tools and software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, or similar platformsInterpersonal and teamwork abilities for liaising with team members, community stakeholders, and external partnersExperience in event coordination or logistics is an assetFamiliarity with or willingness to learn about Indigenous communities, cultures, and traditionsHigh level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyA diploma or equivalent experience in administration, management, or a related field is preferred
