Assistant AccountantThe primary responsibility of this role is to review, investigate and provide insights on Business Unit costs and associated balance sheet accounts. This includes monitoring relevant transactions, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and providing business insight.What You Will do:Independently prepare a range of balance sheet and GL reconciliations from across different areas of the balance sheet that range from simple to more complex and ensure all reconciliations are investigated to ensure they are rated greenAbility to analyse and pull together a wide range of information for consolidation and analysisMonth End tasks including (but not limited to) accrual calculations, journal review and posting and information analysisLiaise with stakeholders in relation to balance sheet reconciliations to call out insights and resolve queriesWho You Are:Degree qualified, currently working towards CPA / CA qualificationSound knowledge of accounting principlesStrong experience using financial systems e.g. Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros), PowerPoint, SAP, SAP BW, BPCAble to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; able to make the complex simple and effectively engage with a wide range of business partnersAble to synthesise large amounts of data from a variety of sourcesAble to plan, develop and deliver sustainable organisational / customer-centric goals, and manage competing prioritiesStrong business partnering skills with an ability to grow and establish new or extended customer base and possess the mindset of owning and being responsible for your tasks
