Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in the following ME disciplines:Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with focus on Nuclear Engineering OR Chemical Engineering with focus on Nuclear EngineeringThe candidate must have the ability or experience to teach courses related to Engineering Nuclear Reactors, Reactor Physics, Nuclear Power Plant Materials, and Nuclear Power Plant Operations.Dynamic and ControlSolid Mechanics and Applied MaterialsMechanical Design and ManufacturingThermal SciencesThe ME department offers undergraduate program (fully accredited by ABET) with an average 1,200 students enrolled and a graduate program with more than 100 M.S. and Ph.D. students. Current mechanical engineering faculty are very active in research and have sponsored research projects from several funding agencies and the local industries including oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, water desalination, and manufacturing.For more information about the department, please visit:Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses (M.S. and Ph.D.), advise and mentor students, supervise MS and PhD theses/dissertations and develop funded research program appropriate to his field of specialization.
