About The OpportunityThe Assistant Branch Manager will play a crucial role in both strategic and operational management, ensuring efficient branch operations and customer satisfaction. This position is well-suited for an individual with excellent leadership skills, a proven track record of operational excellence, and strong stakeholder engagement to drive profitability and enhance service quality.Responsibilities Assist with contracting local suppliers and ensure their compliance with Discova’s quality and Health & Safety requirements. Source and onboard qualified local guides and regularly review their performance. Handle local administrative tasks, including Social Security Office (SSO) processes, tax receipts, and payments. Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies. Represent Discova Laos in meetings and engagements with both private sector partners and government authorities. Act as a local point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders. Effectively lead and maintain collaboration and relationships with other Discova departments. Manage the resolution of major operational issues and ensure 24/7 support for on-the-ground complaints. Update tour costing and ensure trips are running according to budget and profitability. Conduct regular assessments of supplier services and experiences to ensure excellent quality. About You At least 3 years of experience in tourism operations or experience in leading teams in the tourism and hospitality industry . A degree in tourism and hospitality is an advantage. Fluent writing and speaking skills in Lao and the English Language .
