This role supports the Greater China Area, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.You will play an active role in managing and optimizing a range of travel-related categories, including Hotels, Meetings & Events, Air Contracts, and Travel Management Companies. Strong communication and time management skills will be key, as you will be working with team members in various time zones.At Maersk we value the diversity of our talent and will always strive to recruit the best person for the job – we value diversity in all its forms, including but not limited to: gender, age, nationality, race, sexual orientation, disability or religious beliefs.We are looking for a motivated self-starter to join our Maersk Travel TeamKey responsibilities:Serve as the primary point of contact for Travel Agency setup and operations across China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, managing all day-to-day matters efficiently.Drive continuous improvement of the Maersk Travel Program by identifying opportunities and implementing best practices across the region.Quickly establish yourself as the subject matter expert on our policies, our systems and approval processes, and be a resource for employees.Communicate Travel Guidelines and Policies across the Maersk organization to ensure alignment and compliance.Assist strategic decision making through data analysis and daily feedback from stakeholdersAssist with and independently execute various tenders and projects in the regionServicing internal stakeholders on various operational ad-hoc requests related to travel activitiesCollaborate with global Category Managers with their categories i.e. Airlines, Hotel, Meetings & Events and Travel Agencies You will have significant responsibility from the start and are expected to execute and deliver on time and with a great sense of detail.Required Qualifications, Experience & SkillsA bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Master degree or similar is preferred)2-3 years of relevant work experience, related to the Travel industry.Excellent written, oral, and formal communication skills in both Mandarin and English. A third regional language is preferred, international mind-set supported by high level of proficiency and confidence in spoken and written English.Excellent Stakeholder Management skills with both internal and external partnersStrong professional interest in the Travel Industry. Experience from a job in the airline/hotel industry or Travel Management Company is an advantageAbility to manage multiple projects, adjust priorities as needed and meet deadlinesComfortable working with PowerPoint, Power BI and Excel and interested in being able to develop and deliver clear written messagesAbility to generate innovative insights from analysis; develop and implement new methodologies and analysis to drive actionable results, with a sharp eye for detailsEntrepreneurial in spirit and adaptable in a continuously changing environmentService minded and comfortable communicating with many different cultures and all levels of the organisationA strong team player, able to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to team dynamics.Interested in developing your skills within Procurement and taking the first step to a potential career within Maersk ProcurementMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
