Job Description

Our client, a global private equity fund with c.$200bn AUM, is looking to hire an Assistant Company Secretary on a permanent basis to join this close-knit and collaborative team. Supporting and working closely with the Company Secretary, the role holder will manage a portfolio of VCTs, while also gaining a varied exposure to all aspects of the Company’s lifecycle and board support. Ideally you will have experience from a listed company environment or from the financial services sector managing the board and committee cycle end-to-end.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Attend and draft minutes for board and committee meetings, along with all relevant board support work including drafting agendas and following up on action pointsProvide sound corporate governance and company secretarial adviceLeading out on and support the delivery of strategic initiatives that may arise from time to time across the Team.Work with the wider Company Secretary, Corporate Governance and Corporate Affairs Teams in fulfilling the broader accountabilities of the function in an enhanced control environment.Experience and Qualifications:A relevant accounting, legal, business or governance qualification desirable at either graduate or postgraduate / professional level. Membership of Corporate Governance Institute (or working towards this) would be an advantage.At least 7+ years’ experience working in a corporate governance or company secretarial role in the recent past.Please reach out to tkretzmer@thedanosgroup.com if you'd like to learn more.
