New hires are eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus Position SummaryThe Assistant Director of Community Services assists the Director to work within communities to foster investment in inclusion and social/economic development opportunities for the individuals and families supported by Springbrook. The Assistant Director will lead innovative partnerships, programs, and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Assistant Director will focus on inclusion, independence and informed choice in all areas of life, but with specific regard to creating and fostering self-direction and person centeredness in service delivery. The Assistant Director will grow a broad reaching and vibrant Community Services Department, leading a progressive, dynamic team and facilitating the culture of best practice, responsiveness, and change characterized by Springbrook.Primary Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing and implementing plans and goals for the Community Services division, monitoring attainment of objectives.Coordinate and supervise assigned daily operations, including staffing responsibilities (hiring, training, evaluating).Ensure all division work considers culture and ethnic backgrounds, customs, needs, beliefs, and preferred language creating a safe environment (physical, mental, and emotional safety) for those employed and served.Lead and coach assigned employees to work with all stakeholders embodying Springbrook’s basic tenets of person-first, trauma-informed approaches with emphasis on quality and satisfaction at all stages of program planning and review.Ensure quality program administration and compliance with OPWDD, Medicaid regulations, and Springbrook policies.Represent Springbrook at internal and external events as assigned.Collaborates with senior leadership across departments to endorse the organizational vision.Other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Services.Qualifications, Skills And Knowledge RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Human Services required; Master’s degree preferred.OPWDD experience preferred.Must be able to work a flexible schedule.Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in computer software with the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.Springbrook is an equal opportunity employer.
