Join us as an Assistant Finance Officer (AO4) - Budget and Performance Reporting and help us prepare and manage for the consequences of fire and rescue services in Queensland communities.QFD are proud to be recognised as an employer of choice for women by Work180 and celebrate all diversity by committing to a culture where people feel safe, respected, valued and engaged.Your OpportunityAs an Assistant Finance Officer (AO4) in our Budget and Performance Reporting unit within the Strategy and Corporate Services division of QFD, you will play a key role in the organisation by bringing your financial acumen and strong analytical skills to QFD.Based in Albion, QLD, you'll use your knowledge of budget management, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills to: Assist with providing advice on budget management, internal reporting and financial matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, policies, and practices. Support financial administration functions, including revenue and expense management, to ensure governance and compliance with departmental requirements. Contribute to the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and assist with forecasting the department's financial performance. Provide support for training and guidance on budget management and financial performance reporting to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the department. Assist with research and preparation of reports, submissions, and briefings on financial issues and impacts, ensuring alignment with departmental requirements. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective finance services and resolve issues efficiently. Support the delivery of budget and performance reporting projects to meet agreed timeframes and business needs.What You'll BringWe Want To Hear From You If You Have knowledge of budget and operational financial management and/or hold qualifications in accounting or related disciplines. Have experience in financial reporting, budget preparation, and financial analysis. Are skilled in providing advice on financial management, budget reporting and governance. Can build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, submissions, and briefings.
