NPosition Type ManagementAssistant Food and Beverage Manager – Job OpportunityWe are seeking a hands-on, energetic, and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to lead and inspire a dynamic team of approximately 50 staff members. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.Please note: This position is only open to South African citizens. Shift work is required, with a strong focus on evenings, weekends, and public holidays.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipOversee daily operations across Restaurants, Bars, and Room Service (where applicable).Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and food safety.Actively support staff on the floor during peak service periods.Team ManagementLead by example, fostering a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and accountability.Motivate and mentor staff to achieve operational excellence.Manage staffing levels to meet service and financial goals.Customer ExperienceEnsure exceptional guest service from arrival to departure.Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.Continuously seek feedback and implement improvements.Training & DevelopmentIdentify training needs and implement development plans.Conduct regular coaching and performance reviews.Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.Compliance & StandardsEnsure adherence to all food and beverage policies, health regulations, and liquor laws.Monitor and maintain sanitation and safety standards.Financial OversightAssist with budgeting, purchasing, and invoice management.Drive profitability through efficient operations and cost control.Candidate ProfileEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED with minimum 3 years’ experience in food & beverage, culinary, or hospitality management.
