About the RoleThis role will be responsible for:
Processing transactions and accounting entries for a portfolio of investment funds and the preparation of portfolios and cash reconciliations on a daily basisThe preparation of Net Asset Value (“NAV”) files for a portfolio of medium to high complexity investment fundsLiaison with investment managers, prime brokers and custodians in relation to trading activity, as required, for transaction processing and NAV preparation; preparation of client compliance filesMaintenance of client database and performance of general administration functions relating to client fundsAssisting in the invoicing process and collection of receivables and liaison with auditors to provide required information and respond to audit queries.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate should possess the following: A university degree in accounting or finance and/or a professional accounting qualificationA minimum of 1 years’ of experience with a leading accountancy practice or financial institution is requiredKey skills for this role are as follows: A sound working knowledge of all Windows applicationsKnowledge of fund accounting applicationsHave understanding of securities commonly encountered in the hedge fund industry, including equities, bonds, swaps, options, and futures, and the ability to account for these securitiesExcellent time management, organizational, prioritization and communication skills, both verbal and written (fluent written and oral English).
