The RoleThe day to day management of a comprehensive, high quality patient administration and reception service, across a multi section Department ensuring a quality service to patients, medical staff and other users of the service. This post has decision making responsibility and accountability to manage the day to day operational service delivery for Health Records Services. NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.What we'll need you to bring5 years experience within a Health Records environment, demonstrating significant experience of management of a complex multi section Health Records Service, with a minimum of 2 years previous Supervisory experience.Specialist knowledge of Health Records gained through relevant experience, educated to/working towards/operating at degree level, and/or professional qualification Diploma of the Institute of Health Records and Information Management (IHRIM), or equivalent.Specialist knowledge across a diverse range of areas without reference to the Health Records Manager, working with and demonstrating an understanding of other disciplines; clinical and non-clinicalExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of current national guidelines: Electronic Patient Records; Caldicott and Clinical Governance relating to Records Management.
