SolveCube is working with global consulting firms, mid and large enterprises across Asia Pacific and Middle East to fulfil their talent needs for permanent, short-term, part-time, interim and turnkey assignments.One of our clients a reputed bank in Dubai is looking for Assistant Manager, Account Services UnitP.S- Only UAE Nationals will be considered for this roleJob Description: Assistant Manager, Account Services Unit Location: Dubai, UAEJob PurposeTo lead and manage the Account Services Unit (ASU) team, ensuring efficient and compliant processing of all account opening and maintenance activities for Personal and Wholesale Banking. The role involves overseeing onshore and offshore operations, managing digital channel requests, and supporting the Head of Shared Services in achieving unit objectives through effective supervision, process improvement, and adherence to established policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities1. Team Leadership & Operational ManagementLead, manage, and supervise the onshore Account Opening Services team.Oversee day-to-day activities of both onshore and offshore processing teams.Manage and plan resources for optimal efficiency, including leave and absence planning.Develop, cross-train, and support team members to ensure resource flexibility and effectiveness.2. Account Services Processing & ControlOversee end-to-end processes for account opening (CASA & Time Deposits) and maintenance, ensuring completion within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Manage a high volume of documentation, averaging over 100 documents daily, ensuring reconciliation and secure forwarding to Archiving.Act as a joint custodian for the overnight safe custody of original physical documents.Approve or reject high-risk account applications and related debit card issuances in line with policy.Escalate cases to higher management or compliance as required.Prioritize processing for high-net-worth and tier-1 clients.3. Offshore Team & Service MonitoringMonitor the offshore team's performance on key tasks, including:Account opening (CASA & TD)Cheque Book and Special Cheque Book issuanceOnline, SMS, and IVR Banking servicesProcessing for specific high-risk and digital accountsEnsure daily/monthly tasks and dashboards are completed and submitted accurately.4. Document Custody & ReconciliationHold joint responsibility for the custody of original physical documents.Ensure daily reconciliation of all physical documents.Manage secure movement of documents between ASU and the Central Archiving Unit with proper acknowledgment.Approve the scanning of customer signatures via SIG-CAP.5. Compliance, Audit & Process ImprovementAddress and complete audit observations within stipulated timelines.Coordinate with auditors to rectify irregularities and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.Identify and propose optimization opportunities for continuous process improvement.Participate in preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades.Drive process reviews to enhance customer experience and meet expectations.6. Specialized Approvals & AdministrationApprove Time Deposit, CCBB opening, and OA payments.Act as a joint bank administrator for special iBusiness admin functions in conjunction with IAM.Education & ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of banking experience, primarily in account opening, within branch or head office environments.Prior experience in a Team Leader or Verifier role is highly advantageous.
