This involves vendor development, vendor management, FTL pickup, delivery, cost management, and profitability.Key Responsibilities: Implements logistics business development strategies with the region, directly impacting objectives and business results. Manages transportation business within the region to meet targets. Develops new business based on existing business to improve top line and margins. Makes business and managerial decisions to achieve business and financial results. Maintains strong relationships with key domestic transport customers within the region. Oversee operations at all sites through site managers/teams. Reviews performance and costs periodically. Provides senior account management leadership for major Domestic Transport service customers. Liaises with authorities as required. Ensures operating teams meet contractual commitments for service, cost, and reporting. Reviews P&L for transport operations and works on achieving targets. Oversees people processes to ensure compliance with Human Resources policies.Experience: Minimum 4- 6 years’ experience in logistics management, with a background in customer relationship management.Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any field.Skills and Competencies: Good understanding of the Indian Transport Market, Network, Practices, Tariff, and Regulation.
