Job SummaryThe Assistant Manager – Flight Operations Documentation and Compliance is responsible for managing, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all flight operations manuals, circulars, technical publications, and related documentation. This role supports & assists Manager – Documentation & Compliance for Documentation, regulatory compliance, and efficient dissemination of critical information to flight crews and operational staff.Documentation Management Key Responsibilities: Develop, revise, and maintain Flight Operations Manuals (OM-A, OM-B, OM-C, OM-D), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Circulars, Process Documents/Manuals and other operational documents. Ensure timely updates/ Issuance/ revision and distribution of technical publications, Circulars, and notices to flight crew and other stakeholders, as applicable. Coordinate with OEMs, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders for document validation and approval. Liaise with stakeholders for the timely updating of company operations manuals, flight operations circulars, and related documentation. Ensure timely revision of Operations Manual as per revision cycle. Ensure that before submitting the revised Operations Manual to the regulator, a review of the impact on other interlinked documents is conducted internally with the Post Holders and other relevant stakeholders. Work on Comply365 DCM Admin & Pro Author Modules for Technical Writing. Maintain Document Revision & Updation Cycle on Comply365 DMS. Ensure that references in the Operations Manual that are linked with other company manuals (within and/or outside the purview of Flight Operations) are identified to ensure that the references interlinked/mentioned in any manuals correlate to the correct content and/or paragraph of other manuals and/or documents. Ensure that the Document Owner approves the final version of the regulatory manual/document before submission to the regulatory authority. Responsible for reviewing and updating all co-related documents, ensuring synchronization, and managing the submission process to the regulatory authority. Provide input to the Document Owner on changes to the Operations Manual and identifies impacts on other synced company manuals and documents. Regulatory Compliance Periodic review of the documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all changes are properly documented and compliant with applicable company & regulatory standards. Monitor DGCA website regularly for Update in regulatory requirements, do a gap analysis with current and revised procedures, impact, if any on company Manuals and on operations implementation timelines and subsequently inform relevant stakeholders and follow-up for documentation and compliance with revised regulatory requirements. Ensure that CAR Compliance Matrix is prepared for all applicable DGCA CAR & Circulars for AOC Compliance. Ensure all documentation complies with DGCA, ICAO, EASA, and other applicable aviation regulatory standards. Monitor regulatory circulars and maintained the records. Develop job aids and operational documentation to support the induction of new aircraft into the fleet. Technical Publications Manage the lifecycle of technical publications, including formatting, version control, and archiving. Collaborate with technical writers, pilots, and engineers to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency of content. Digital Systems & Tools Utilize documentation software for the preparation and formatting of manuals. Support the release and distribution of documents to flight crew via the Document Management System (DMS). Communication Effectively communicate changes and revisions through bulletins, newsletters, briefings, and other communication channels. Provide guidance and support to operational staff on the use and interpretation of updated documentation. Required Skills & Experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication. Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and XML-based authoring tools. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities. Certification in Technical Writing or Aviation Documentation (optional but advantageous). Good To Have Relevant experience in Airline Industry, Preferably with Flight Ops. Documentation Compliance Standards, Quality Assurance, Quality Control Section. Experience with Document Management Systems will be preferred. Educational Qualification Should be Graduate. Desired to have good knowledge of DGCA & IOSA requirements.
