An inclusive environment that values diverse talent, promotes innovation, and supports the development of individuals from underrepresented groups.Role: Assistant Manager/ Manager- Financial Aid & FeesJob Description:Financial Aid Process: Manage the entire aid process by guiding students through applications, deadlines, and documentation, explaining aid types and eligibility, and assisting with form submission.Financial Document Review:Verify that information provided on financial aid forms and legal documents is accurate, current, and consistent with applicable supporting documentation.Assess unusual circumstances, review, and analyse incomplete or conflicting data to appropriately communicate information to students and families related to financial aid.Regularly follow up with applicants for timely payments and other documentation.Reports: Provide timely and accurate data, reports, and insights on financial aid applications and eligibility for management review and decision-making.Student and Parent Engagement:Contribute to student recruitment, retention and success initiatives at the campus and school levels including campus tours, outreach and admission events, retention programs etc.Counsel students and parents by offering guidance on matching scholarships to students’ qualifications, while fostering positive admissions experience.Communicate tactfully, while exercising extreme diplomacy, empathy and compassion when dealing with sensitive information, challenging situations, difficult and sometime disgruntled individuals.Use appropriate strategies to diffuse tense situations and recognize when to make referrals to avoid escalation.Fee and Refund Management:Oversee the end-to-end process of acceptance and first-semester fee collection, ensuring all admitted students, complete payments accurately and within stipulated timelines. Maintain comprehensive fee and refund trackers, monitor compliance, and liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or delays.DEI: Apply a Diversity Equity and Inclusion lens to all aspects of your work, ensuring fair and equitable admissions processes.Experience and EducationEducation: Bachelor’s degree.Experience: Overall 5+ years of experience required; 1–2 years in financial aid preferred; experience in student-facing roles is an advantage.SkillsExcellent organization, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently with good problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of standard office software, including Microsoft Office.High attention to detail and good analysis skills.Strong customer service skills.Passion for, understanding of, and commitment to inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and accessibility.Collaborative team player, proactive in supporting overall project requirements.
