OverviewTHE ROLE: Supports in developing relationships with provincial and national government officials, industry associations, and enhancing corporate reputation through direct contact and representation of corporate positions. Analyzes policy, legislative/regulatory, and larger political developments in the market that could materially affect the business. Recommends and contributes to possible engagements to manage key issues at both a strategic and tactical level. Develops corporate positions and talking points for necessary policy or other external affairs engagements, with the ultimate aim of supporting the Head of Government Affairs in crafting a policy environment that is favorable to the company’s commercial interest and integrated with government policy priorities. Supports in managing and monitoring GA projects including but not limited to Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) / Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as managing GA substantive and administrative reports.HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: Supports in developing relationships with provincial and national government officials, industry and regional associations, and enhancing corporate reputation through direct contact and articulation of Herbalife Nutrition’s policy positions. Develops corporate positions and talking points for necessary policy or other external affairs engagements, with the ultimate aim of supporting the Head of Government Affairs in crafting a policy environment that is favorable to the company’s commercial interest and integrated with government policy priorities. Supports in managing and monitoring Government Affairs (GA) projects including but not limited to Public-Private Partnership, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) / Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as managing GA substantial and administrative reports. Take an active role in supporting Head of Government Affairs, assuming projects on an individual and team basis in support of specific departmental and corporate objectives. Provide support for the Indonesia Team operating in the country. Proactively collaborate with other functional departments to resolve legal, technical, and scientific or policy queries surrounding external and distributor issues. Provide regular weekly briefing reports to Head of Government Affairs distilling complex legislative issues into clear, concise business messages.WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:Interacts with all levels throughout organization, all other departments, distributors. Must be responsive to requests from Head of Government Affairs, and country (Indonesia) management. Position will occasionally and indirectly support regional GA goals and activities, as requested and directed by the Vice President of GA for APAC.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Share supervisory duties, if applicable) N/ASKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Must have more than 3 (three) years' experience in government affairs, public policy, project management or public services. Sound knowledge of Government Rules & Procedures, and willingness to learn the areas that may not immediately be known to the candidate. Computer literate with strong capabilities in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Adobe. Ability to work in a fast paced and evolving environment. Proven organization, leadership and interpersonal skills. Good time management and bi-lingual communication skills in English, and Indonesian language.
