Our Disney+ North Asia team is responsible for the launch and day to day operation of the service across Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan specifically focused on customer acquisition and retention, marketing, partnerships, content programming, research, and analytics.The Performance & Lifecycle Marketing team in Japan is tasked with driving Disney+ subscriber growth, engagement, and retention for the market, in close partnership with the Disney Streaming Services global teams. They are positioned at the heart of decision making for The Walt Disney Company, driving the best audience/subscriber experience and commercial outcome for the Direct-to-Consumer business. The team also works in close alignment with other local teams and lines of business including Studios, Franchise, Live Entertainment, Parks and Consumer Products to align Disney+ acquisition and lifecycle marketing plans with cross company priorities.Job Summary:‘Explore Disney+’ (‘Disney+ Navi’ in Japan) is a new editorial website on www.disneyplus.com for consumers to learn about what to watch on Disney+. The website will feature articles, news, and guides for Disney+ movies and series.The SEO Specialist will report to the Senior Manager, Performance Marketing, and be responsible for the end to end workflow for delivering SEO-driven editorial content on disneyplus.com for Japan.This role will provide publishing support across all SEO pages for the APAC region, initial marketing: SG, ANZ, JPN. Responsibilities:StrategyManaging the site with the global team and providing input to ensure maximum conversion opportunitiesProgram OperationsCreate and maintain a rich editorial calendar for Explore Disney+ Japan website, based on local trends, content slate, and local business prioritiesCoordinate the localization and syndication of global articles, working with local SEO agency to tailor titles, copy, and content to local preferencesProject manage asset creation with the APAC Design team to deliver materials for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices based on strict design and brand guidelinesManage the local review and approval processes for all new pages and articles with all relevant stakeholders and leaders, including PR, Creative, and Legal, as neededPublish articles via internal CMS system for Japan, SG and ANZManage dashboards and reporting for local market site performanceEnsure operational efficiency throughout the entire publishing processSEOPartner with the global SEO team to ensure all pages are optimized for organic search performancePerform keyword research for local articles and translated syndicated articlesWork with SEO platforms to track keywords and measure performanceGrowthPartner with wider Growth Marketing functions as well as Brand and Awareness teams for ongoing promotion of the Japan Explore Disney+ site and articles Competencies & Core Attributes:Analytical mind-set, strategic thinkerEffective relationship builder, and a collaborative, constructive team playerPositive attitude and flexible of thought, champions change and drives resultsCurious, resourceful and a creative problem-solverDiscreet and able to follow strict commercial confidentiality disciplinesDesired Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience in a SEO role or equivalentExperience writing SEO-friendly content in JapaneseExperience using global SEM tools Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, working at pace, with multiple stakeholders (local and international), managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Native level fluency in Japanese and business level EnglishKnowledge of the SVOD industry and/or a passion for entertainment and pop culturePreferred: familiarity with UX/UI strategy and/or design
