Muslim Hands Model School, Dhaka—a key initiative under our Education Programme—is currently inviting applications for the position of Assistant – Finance & Administration. We are seeking a committed, detail-oriented, and compassionate individual to join our academic team.
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the school’s financial management and administrative operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standardsDuties & Responsibilities: Finance: (40%)Maintain petty cash of MHM school in effective mannerMaintain day to day financial records in accurate and effective mannerProper documentation of all supporting documents for any financial transaction including Invoices, Receipts, Challan, Purchase order, Purchase Requisition etc.
as per MHIB policyPrepare and execute timely payments to vendors and service providers (as applicable)Prepare monthly fund request following approve budgetPrepare Bank reconciliation on monthly basisPrepare regular Cash book summary in prescribe format of MHIBCollect tuition fees and maintain proper documentation and records. Prepare payroll for school staff and teacher and ensure the accuracyHelp implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard transactions and assets. Administration: (30%)Maintain fixed asset register and ensure it is regularly updated as per. Assist in the daily administrative operations of the school, ensuring a smooth and efficient working environment.
Maintain and update employee attendance records regularly. Maintain accurate records of school assets and ensure periodic updates and physical verification. Assist in organizing school meetings, preparing minutes, and maintaining records of administrative decisions. Ensure the proper filing of administrative and financial documents, both in hard and soft formats. Coordinate with the Country Office on administrative matters as required. Support the school management in implementing office protocols, policies, and procedures. Provide logistical support for events, meetings, and school functions. Carry out any other administrative duties assigned by the Manager – Finance & Admin or the Head of SchoolProcurement:
(30%)Support in procurement as per requirement of school following organizational policy & proceduresAble to preapre purchase orders, contracts, and agreementsLiaise with vendors and service providers for collecting bills, challans, and other relevant documents, ensuring proper documentation.

At least 1 year experience in relevant fieldSkilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)Additional Requirements: Proficiency in accounting software (e. g. , QuickBooks, Sage) will be an added advantage. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
