Associate Procurement Manager Marketing & Selling (EU) - Junior LevelLocation: Brussels Region, BelgiumEngagement: Freelance MissionIndustry: Biopharma OrganisationHybrid freelance mission, competitive hourly rateWe are partnering with a major Biopharma to recruit an Associate Procurement Manager (Marketing & Selling – EU).This role supports regional procurement strategy execution, enhances supplier relationships, drives value creation, and ensures effective sourcing across marketing & selling categories.You will be instrumental in end‑to‑end sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, sustainability initiatives, and cross‑functional collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesCategory & Network StrategyTranslate procurement strategies into operational activity across the business Build and nurture strong supplier relationships, providing insights from market and sourcing activity Supplier Segmentation & SelectionSupport development of supplier segmentation and commercial relationship models aligned to business strategiesIdentify potential suppliers and maintain effective commercial relationshipsContribute to sourcing recommendations and governance reviewsContracting & NegotiationManage full RFI/RFQ processes using approved procurement toolsAnalyse market trends and supply landscape to support fact‑based decision‑makingCollaborate with Legal on contract terms, negotiate T&Cs, and embed KPIs/SLA requirements Performance & Risk ManagementSupport assessment of supplier performance and act as escalation point where neededEnsure risk mitigation strategies are incorporated into contracts and contingency plans shared across teams Sustainability & ComplianceApply sustainability frameworks and ensure sustainability criteria are integrated into supplier selection and contractingManage PO approval (within threshold) and maintain compliance with relevant procedures Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement ecosystemRequirementsEducation & BackgroundBachelor’s degree required; Master's degree beneficial (or equivalent experience) Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic procurement or sales rolesExperience in Pharma or agencies supporting Pharma (Marketing, Medical, Market Research, Media) is highly recommended Skills & CompetenciesStrong negotiation skills and ability to build effective supplier relationshipsExperience managing procurement projects, timelines, and deliverablesProficiency in contract drafting, reviewing, and understanding key legal implicationsStrong analytical capability and use of procurement software and data toolsExcellent communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholdersCollaborative team player with agility and adaptability in dynamic environmentsKnowledge of supplier markets in marketing & selling categoriesFluent in English Interested in applying?Please apply directly or email alexander.sysum@msipharma.com with your CV.
