PR & Communications Consultant – Focus Netherlands (Freelance, 50%)Location: Brussels – On-site every Monday + flexible remoteDuration: 12 months (renewable)IntroA leading public media organization is looking for a Freelance PR & Communications Consultant to strengthen its communication and press activities, with a primary focus on the Dutch media market and additional support toward the Flemish press and public.The assignment aims to enhance brand visibility in the Netherlands and position the organization as a creative and innovative media partner for collaborations and co-productions.ResponsibilitiesSupport and execute PR and communication activities targeting the Dutch press.Identify and leverage press and partnership opportunities in the Netherlands.Translate corporate stories, programs, and projects into relevant communication for the Dutch media landscape.Maintain and expand a relevant press and partner network.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align communication initiatives.Contribute to strengthening brand visibility and strategic positioning abroad.Experience & CompetencesMust-Haves - Clearly demonstrated in your resumeProven experience as Communication and PR consultant of at least 5 years.Proven experience in writing and pitching press releases.Proven experience with copyrwriting (coprorate, marketing, product related).Proven experience in PR and media relations, including within the Dutch market. This needs to be documented with cases!Demonstrable experience in developing and/or implementing (internal) communication plans.Demonstrable experience with trends and developments in the (digital) communications market, content marketing and social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)Strong knowledge of the Dutch media landscape.Affinity with media, broadcasting, or content-driven environments.Ability to independently detect opportunities and act proactively.Strong networking capabilities and relationship management skills.Excellent communication and storytelling skills in Dutch.Dutch mother tongueMaster or BachelorSoft SkillsProactive and results-oriented.Autonomous yet collaborative.Strategic thinker with strong execution capability.Work ArrangementMandatory physical presence in Brussels every Monday.Remaining working time can be flexibly scheduled throughout the week.12-month parttime assignment, renewable.OfferStrategic and visible role in an international media context.Opportunity to build cross-border media positioning and partnerships.Flexible part-time engagement with impact.Inclusive and diverse working environment.
