Together, let's grow 'For the Better.'Position SummaryThe Assistant Procurement Manager will play a key role in driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and long-term sourcing strategies across assigned categories. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process—from supplier identification and negotiation to contract management and performance monitoring—while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, sustainability goals, and total cost of ownership (TCO) principles.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Category ManagementDevelop and implement category strategies aligned with business needs, market trends, and sustainability objectivesConduct comprehensive spend analysis, supply market research, and benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunitiesLead RFQs, RFPs, and tenders, ensuring fair competition and adherence to company procurement policiesEstablish long-term supplier partnerships to drive innovation, value creation, and supply assuranceSupplier Relationship ManagementEvaluate and select suppliers based on capability, quality, cost, and delivery performanceNegotiate commercial terms and long-term contracts to optimize cost, mitigate risk, and ensure continuity of supplyImplement supplier scorecards and conduct regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvementFinancial & Risk ManagementDeliver measurable savings through strategic negotiations, cost breakdown analysis, and value engineering initiativesMonitor commodity price trends, exchange rates, and logistics costs to inform sourcing decisionsIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and compliance with internal controlsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Finance teams to align procurement plans with operational goalsSupport new product development (NPD) projects by sourcing materials that meet technical and sustainability requirementsParticipate in cross-functional cost-reduction and process-improvement initiativesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 5–8 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably in FMCG / Manufacturing / Packaging / Food & BeverageStrong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skillsDemonstrated experience in category management, supplier development, and cost optimizationProficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel
