Assistant Production Executive (contract)

Purpose of the positionImplementation of best-in-class operational efficiency of the PGP Operation function through continuous productivity improvement and overall cost effectiveness with the aim of enhancing customer service & safety.Principal responsibilitiesSafety Implementation Plan (SIP)Delivers the on-site safety implementation plan to achieve zero injuries/accidents, sustained improvement in all production areas, and meeting all internal and external safety standards.Ensures a safe operating environment for plant operations · Proactively works in partnership with (Front-In-Line) FIL Supervisors to share best safety practice and identify training gaps.At all times, carries out job functions reflecting compliance to Linde behavioral safety philosophy by participating in regular meetings involving in-country technical services teams.Proactively works in partnership with Production Manager & Engineer and Supervisors in other streams of Operations to:Identify gaps between actual conditions and SIP.Propose improvement programs, including adjustment where appropriateShare best safety practices and promote them to the teamSupport the implementation of regional Best Operating Practice at the site level; ensure all operators fully understand the conceptsEnsures all people in production areas are trained and qualified for their positions.Production Strategies ImplementationSupport the implementation of production strategies in his/her scope with the aim of ensuring the Product Service Offer (PSO) is delivered.Works with Production Manager / Engineers and Supervisors in other to assess desired against current PSO and develop detailed improvement planIdentifies opportunities and proposes improvement plans to Production Supervisor in closing gaps between current and desired.Monitors and reports implementation progress on regular basis.Holds regular meetings with other platforms both local and regional level (distribution, CSC, Supply chain) to ensure delivery of PSODay to Day ActivitySupport Production Manager & Engineer in executing the daily Production Plan related COP cylinders and portable cryogenic container (PCC) supply and maintenance.Identify and resolve quality related issue on COP cylinders & PCC.Ensure compliance in managing & handling of incoming & outgoing of COP cylinders / PCC covering asset registration & tracking.Support Production Engineer & Supervisor in identifying risks. Mitigates and propose methods to eliminate risks related to COP cylinders & PCC products.Feedback & analyze actual versus plan estimates to Production Planner and National Supply Chain Planner and identify gaps for continuous improvement related to COP cylinders & PCC product supply chain.Lead & provide support to Production team on inventory planning & stock count. Implementation of Cost Improvement ProgrammesIdentifying, prioritizing, and implementing cost improvement in all areas of production.Works with production manager & engineer to identify cost improvement opportunities and provides inputs on the strategy.Works with engineer & supervisors to ensure proper implementation of plan.Communicates regularly and receive feedback from other related departments as well as brainstorm solutions at local level and input to production management platform team.Works closely with enabling functions such as HR, SHEQ, IM and Finance for support in delivering productivity target.Implementation of Financial Plan.Provides input to production manager in setting the annual budget.Assists Production Manager / Engineer in collecting data relevant for setting annual budget.Assists Production Engineer & Supervisor in controlling costs to meet the budget.Risk ManagementCarries out adequate risk assessment for production activities.Carries out plan to ensure all production activities meet Linde safety, quality and environmental standards and national legislative requirements.Competency DevelopmentEnsures placement of competent employees on the production site.Determine capability gaps within the production organisation and develop processes to fill the gaps.Succession planning in production management team.RequirementDiploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing or Industrial)2 years’ working experience in similar role or capacity.
