Assistant Project Manager - HVAC and Construction

OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our HVAC and construction projects from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will assist project managers and field teams in coordinating schedules, budgets, materials, subcontractors, and documentation to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to quality standards. This position requires strong communication skills, technical understanding of HVAC systems and construction processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing HVAC and construction projects.Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of work.Handle coordination of vendor material quotations and estimates.Coordinate project documentation such as As-built drawings, submittals, O & M manuals, scheduling inspections, and applying for permits.Manage project/estimate list for PMs.Support project documentation including contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs.Assist with scheduling inspections, obtaining permits, and ensuring compliance with building codes and HVAC regulations.Identify potential project risks and support the development of mitigation plans.Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain open communication and resolve issues promptly.QualificationsEducation: Degree in construction management, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred but not required.
