We are differentiated by our people, innovation and reputation with a genuine global office network.As Assistant Project Manager, you will assist in various activities including project programmes, projects, and project teams with Project Managers and develop project protocols plus deliver projects on time, to budget and to the required quality levels expected by Currie & Brown and our Clients. Preferred but not essential, you will have experience in the education, social housing and commercial property sectors.Client· Is aware of who the client is, internal or external, and the importance of building a relationship with them· Shows a keen awareness of the importance of deadlines and client needs· Pays careful attention to client requirements, and asks for guidance where unsure· Looks for ways to support business development where possible Commercial Job Management and Finances· Demonstrate willingness to understand and use company financial systems and processes· Cost consciousness and understanding of the profit and loss of projects for Currie & Brown· Ensure project cash flows / order books are up to date and accurate· Manage consultant fees, tracking and authorisation of payments · Issue monthly progress claims as required, as well as cash collection People· Confidence working in a team environment and develop good team working relationships· Contributes to team effort as well as individual tasks· Actively seek and utilise feedback to improve personal performance· Willingness to be involved on a variety of projects and tasks Service Delivery· Works under supervision, curious to learn and develop· Complete basic requests within time and quality parameters· Support project work using company processes· Fully aware of training programme requirements and display commitment to these· Ensures compliance with QSE manual Personal Specification· Educated to at least degree level in a relevant discipline such as: M&E/Civil Engineering, Architecture or Project Management· 1-3 years’ working experience· Computer literate, particularly using MS Word, Excel and MS Project· Understanding of construction methodology, trades and elements· Have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude· Passionate about Project Management, with the ability to demonstrate a desire to work within a leading consultancy· Understanding of current industry trends and willingness to learn· Good communication and influencing skills· Confident, energetic and an ambitious self-starter.
