Assistant Project ManagerHoward CDM | Commercial Construction, Development & ManagementOnsite in Bellflower, CA | Full-Time, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Salary Range: $91,500 – $101,500 (DOE)FLSA Status: ExemptAbout The RoleThe Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports Project Managers and senior leadership through all phases of commercial construction projects — from preconstruction through closeout.You’ll play a key role in ensuring that projects are delivered with accuracy, timeliness, and integrity — hallmarks of Howard CDM’s reputation for quality and craftsmanship.This position is ideal for someone eager to grow into a future leadership role while working hands-on with construction and development professionals.What You’ll DoSupport project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and closeout activities.Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and field staff.Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, budgets, and schedules.Prepare contracts, reports, and meeting documentation.Monitor quality, safety, and compliance on active projects.Learn Howard CDM’s management systems (Procore, Sage 300, Bluebeam).What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).3–5 years of commercial construction project coordination or management support.Experience or aptitude with:ProcoreSage 300 CREBluebeam RevuMicrosoft Excel & ProjectStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $91,500 – $101,500 (Depending on Experience)Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchingPTO and Paid HolidaysSection 125 Plan & Flexible Spending AccountsPhone ReimbursementProfessional Growth OpportunitiesOur CultureAt Howard CDM, every project reflects our mission: building a portfolio of finely crafted projects that are a continuing source of pride for their owners.We Live By Our Core ValuesPride, Partnership, Commitment, Integrity, and Client Satisfaction.Join a team that builds excellence — together.How We Determine What We PayHoward CDM determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position.
