We are a team-driven company that values initiative, accountability, and continuous learning across all levels of our organization.Position OverviewThe Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator supports the Project Management team in executing and tracking multiple construction projects from award through closeout. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in project administration, coordination, and field operations within a fast-paced construction environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack and manage project deliverables, schedules, and documentation under the direction of a Project Manager.Organize and maintain logs for submittals, RFIs, change order requests, purchase orders, and field reports.Support the Project Manager by actively managing task lists, identifying priorities, and helping drive timely execution of project goals.Assist with document control in platforms such as SharePoint, Procore, or similar construction management software.Coordinate material tracking, deliveries, and field installation schedules with vendors and site supervisors.Manage and upload field craft time sheets to maintain accurate project labor records and support payroll coordination.Maintain up-to-date records of drawings, revisions, and approved submittals.Participate in internal and external project meetings; prepare and distribute meeting notes.Provide administrative and logistical support for equipment rentals, fabrication releases, and subcontractor coordination.Learn and apply basic AI-based project management tools for data organization, scheduling, and document analysis (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar software).QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.0–2 years of experience in construction or project management (co-op or internship experience acceptable).Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint).Familiarity with AI-driven tools used in construction/project management (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Procore AI features).Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative team environment.Interest in developing long-term career growth in construction project management.Valid driver’s license and ability to occasionally travel to job sites throughout Massachusetts and surrounding states.Why Join IPC LydonExposure to diverse mechanical and structural construction projects across multiple industries.Mentorship from experienced project managers and superintendents.Opportunities to learn cost tracking, contract administration, and field coordination.Competitive salary, benefits, and career development pathway in a growing company.
