Assistant Technical ManagerLocation: North DublinReports to: Technical ManagerContract: Full-time, PermanentAbout the CompanyOur client is a leading food manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality and innovation; they supply to major retailers and foodservice partners across Ireland and beyond. We are now seeking an Assistant Technical Manager to strengthen their technical function and support the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality products.The RoleAs Assistant Technical Manager, you will work closely with the Technical Manager to ensure that all products meet regulatory, customer, and internal standards. You will play a key role in technical compliance, ingredient labelling, specification management, and customer support, while driving continuous improvement across the Technical department.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain technical product specifications across all categories.Ensure ingredient labelling and declarations are fully compliant with EU & UK legislation.Monitor and review use of nitrates, preservatives, and other additives, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards.Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.Oversee and manage non-conformances, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation.Provide support during customer, BRC, and regulatory audits.Assist the Technical Manager in driving a strong food safety and compliance culture across the site.Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams (Production, NPD, and Commercial) to ensure technical requirements are met.Key RequirementsDegree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.2-4 years' experience in a technical, quality, or specification's role within food manufacturing (sauces, seasonings, or meat sector experience an advantage).Strong knowledge of EU/UK labelling legislation, HACCP, and BRCGS requirements.Experience handling customer complaints and non-conformances.Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical and regulatory information.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional and customer interactions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with retailer specification portals (e.g., Tesco, Dunnes, SuperValu) highly desirable.What's on OfferCompetitive salary of €55,000.00 - €60,000.00 DOEExcellent career progression opportunities within a growing business.Opportunity to work with a market-leading food manufacturer supplying to top retailers.Supportive team environment with ongoing training and development.If you are ready to take the next step in your career, Apply Today!
