Job Description

The Associate is an intermediate-level position responsible for seamless delivery of corporate banking services, investment strategies and advisory services to our public and private clients in the Hub Managed Countries (‘HMC’) in the CEE region spanning across 11 Baltic and Balkan countries.Responsibilities:Work closely with senior bankers to provide overall relationship management supportProvide a wide range of treasury and corporate finance solutions, including day-to-day cash management, trade, vendor finance, foreign exchange, loans, debt capital markets (fixed income and bank), share repurchase, and interest rate and equity derivativesSupport bankers in cross-selling Citi’s full spectrum of products and services to generate revenue by identifying and responding to customers’ financial, advisory, transactional needsConduct marketing and execution activities in coordination with Bankers, Relationship Analysts and Associates, Citi’s international offices and product/investment banking partnersUnderstand regional and emerging market trends to identify growth opportunities in the HMC regionResponsible for developing an understanding of all credit, transactional and franchise risks in coordination with senior coverage officers to facilitate deal execution and risk mitigation processes, including the preparation of credit approvals, obtaining Capital and Risk approvals, and supervising transaction return calculationsEvaluate public filings, research reports, operations, business plans and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analysesContinuously stay informed of best practices and market and industry trendsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Required Qualifications:2-5 years of experienceMBA or Master's Degree in Business preferredProven and progressive related lending/credit experience or equivalent product experienceDemonstrated credit skills, including a background in creditExperience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products preferredComprehensive knowledge of Corporate Banking business including related products, pertinent regulations and the lending and credit approval processConsistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communicationDemonstrated planning, negotiation, organizational and analytical skillsBachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceIdeal candidate profile:Has solid credit/lending experienceUnderstands and has relevant track record in corporate banking in the CEE regionDemonstrates solid market knowledge in the Baltic countries, preferably in LithuaniaWhat we can offer you: By joining Citi Hungary, you will not only be part of a workplace with a hybrid working model (up to 2 days working at home per week), but also receive a competitive compensation package and enjoy a whole host of additional benefits that support you (and your family) to be well, live well and save well:Cafeteria ProgramHome Office Allowance (for colleagues working in hybrid work models)Paid Parental Leave Program (maternity and paternity leave)Private Medical Care Program and onsite medical rooms at our officesPension Plan Contribution to voluntary pension fundGroup Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramAccess to a wide variety of learning and development programs, online course libraries and upskilling platforms, such as Udemy and DegreedFlexible work arrangements to support you in managing work - life balance.Career progression opportunities across geographies and business linesSocially active employee communities with diverse networking opportunitiesAlongside these benefits Citi is committed to ensuring our workplace is where everyone feels comfortable coming to work as their whole self every day.
