It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities.Businesses managed by the NTMA include borrowing for the Exchequer and the management of the National Debt, the State Claims Agency, the New Economy and Recovery Authority, the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, the National Development Finance Agency and the NTMA Future Ireland Funds business unit with responsibility for the management of the Future Ireland Fund and Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund. In addition, the NTMA assigns staff and provides services to the National Asset Management Agency, the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland and Home Building Finance Ireland (together the “Affiliate Agencies”). Role Summary: This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Graduate to join the NTMA ICT Unit on a 23-month Associate Programme commencing in September 2026. The programme is open to graduates with a degree in Business, IT, Commerce or related discipline. The successful candidate will be working in the ICT team, within the Finance, Technology and Operations (FTO) Unit for the full duration of the programme. Principal Accountabilities: Reporting to the ICT Service Desk Manager, the successful candidate will be an ambitious individual/recent graduate, who will work within a dynamic team in the ICT team of the NTMA.Working closely with all members of the team, primary responsibilities as ICT Associate will involve providing support in relation to general ICT Service Desk matters including: User Support & Issue Resolution Logging and categorizing incidents via ticketing systems (Jira Service Management). Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, networks, and applications. Providing remote support using tools like MS Teams, quick assist or VMWare. Escalating complex issues to second or third-line support teams System Access & Configuration User account management using Active Directory, Entra ID and Azure (e.g., password resets, account unlocks). Setting up new devices (PCs, laptops, mobile phones). Installing and configuring software and updates. Managing permissions in systems like Active Directory or Microsoft 365. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Creating and updating knowledge base articles for recurring issues. Documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions. Sharing best practices with users and team members. Customer Service & Communication Communicating clearly and empathetically with users. Following up on open tickets to ensure resolution. Providing guidance and training on basic IT practices. At the end of the programme the successful Associate will have developed a solid knowledge base of the NTMA ICT unit and the wider NTMA.
