The candidate will monitorprofessionals' financial relationships to identify and report potential conflicts of interest with audit clients.Additionally, this role involves providing coordinated support to EY professionals by answering theirinquiries and questions on various country and personal Independence-related topicsThe opportunityRisk Management Services (RMS) is an internal function within EY GDS (Global Delivery services), responsible forprotecting the organization from the risks that may arise from its professional practice. We work closely with all partsof the organization to identify and manage risks, providing coordinated advice and assistance on suite of services likeIndependence, Conflicts, Compliance, regulatory, policy and security issues as well as dealing with claims and queriesregarding ethics. Formed in 2007, the RMS team is growing rapidly as a Center of Excellence for all standardizedquality/compliance related activities.This role will be part of the largest sub-service function, i.e., Independence within Risk Management Services (RMS)responsible for assisting EY professionals to maintain auditor objectivity by identifying and mitigating any potentialconflicts of interest that could compromise an auditor's independence. This includes assessing employee financial andpersonal relationships, conducting investigations, providing guidance on resolving personal independence matters,and monitoring for new independence threats.RMS Independence team is currently 950+ people strong, operating from 3 countries and 5 centers’: India (Gurugram,Kochi, Bengaluru), Poland (Wroclaw), Philippines (Manila). The team is closely integrated with Global Independenceand has been involved in development of key Independence processes.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to EY's reputation as an independent auditor by supporting nicheIndependence profiles within a dynamic and growing environment. You'll work closely with EY professionals tomitigate their personal independence-related risks. This will involve collaborating with senior team members andstakeholders to resolve queries and gather information, ultimately positioning you as a subject matter expert inIndependence processes.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAn Associate Analyst/ Analyst in the GMS team, will be responsible for developing a working knowledge of PersonalIndependence concepts, including financial interests, family relations, and business relationships. You will executeprocedures as outlined in the EYG Independence policies, conduct research, and make updates to various EY tools anddatabases used to monitor their family and financial relationships (like securities, loans, insurance policies, etc).Through these activities, you will contribute to helping EY Professionals mitigate independence-related risks. In thisrole, you will communicate with EY professionals and senior team members to resolve queries and gather information,while learning from experienced professionals to become proficient in Independence processes.Technical expertise Build good understanding of financial products and markets, such as equities, structured products, and funds,while executing work requests & projects from initiation to completion in line with established procedures. Perform research and analysis on EY professionals' financial interests and family relationships, includingbrokerage accounts, loans, and insurance policies, to determine the permissibility of their investments Participate in wide range of projects and collaborate with project managers for timely completion of assignedwork Take part in team discussions/activities, service functions/ organization wide initiatives Understand and work towards meeting and exceeding the defined individual KPIs for the role. Build working knowledge of different internal Independence tools used to record EY professionals financial andfamily relation data such as details of securities owned and controlled, broker and deposit accounts, businessrelationships, loans, insurance policies etc Candidate needs to be diligent and hardworking and be highly motivated, result oriented, with a strong willingnessto learn quickly.Skills And Attributes For Success Possess strong communication and inter-personal skills.
