The candidate will be well versed in all the retail trends in the golf industry, have a strong playing ability, and will exemplify superior customer service for all Members and guests of Öviinbyrd.Location Oviinbyrd Golf Club Posted 2025-11-07 Deadline 2025-12-14 Job Summary The Associate/Assistant Golf Professional will provide the members and guests of Öviinbyrd with “best in class” service in an organized and professional manner creating a memorable experience. The successful candidate will be supported in the development of their professional career on and off the golf course. You will report to the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional. ResponsibilitiesProvide the highest level of customer service on an on-going basis in a professional and friendly manner.Utilize programs such as ForeTees (club management software), Jonas (POS) and Golf Genius (tournament management).Planning and promotion of Member events, charity events and league play.Merchandising of apparel, equipment, and related products.Oversight of the Golf Services staff and operations.Perform club fittings as well as club repairs.Private and group lessons and clinics.Frequent play with Members of all levels.Serve the needs of the members and guests in accordance with the operational and health & safety policies and procedures outlined in the Öviinbyrd Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures booklet and your detailed job description.Perform other duties as required.QualificationsPGA of Canada Member in good standing or PGM Student looking to become a Golf Professional.Bring 1-3 years of private club experience.Knowledge of ForeTees, Jonas, Golf Canada and Golf Genius.Knowledge of current golf trends, golf instruction, club fitting and club repair.Experience with Foresight, Swing Catalyst and TrackMan is an asset.Exceptional playing ability.Must possess a valid G Driver’s License.Compensation$950 - $1,150 per week (commensurate based on experience).85% of lesson revenue.Benefits/PerksEquipment package.Clothing allowance.Staff meal plan.Full playing and practicing privileges.2 days off per weekYear-end sales bonus.Year-end gratuity bonus.Tournament & education allowancePGA of Canada dues paid.PGA of Canada Specialization Teaching PGA of Canada Specialization Golf Operations Start Date 2026-04-01 Employment DurationContract length will be based on experience.
