Associate Director - Health and Safety

This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.Responsible for the operational leadership of health, safety, and wellbeing (HSW) in a designated business/portfolio of work.Accountable for influencing, building, maintaining, and strengthening internal and external stakeholder relationships and, where applicable, leading and developing teams.You’ll Be Responsible ForLead the development and execution of the health and safety strategy.Align project HSE goals with Mace’s global standards and our client’s sustainability and cultural vision.Collaborate with the client, design consultants, contractors, and government bodies to ensure unified safety protocols.Conduct and oversee risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning.Lead risk assessments, method statements, and safety audits across all phases of construction.Provide strategic guidance to contractors and subcontractors on HSE performance and improvement.Monitor and report on KPIs, safety metrics, and performance dashboards to senior leadership.Manage incident investigations and reporting, ensuring lessons learned are shared and applied.You’ll Need To HaveDegree or equivalent experience in health, safety, and well-being.Chartered membership with a recognised HSW body.Proven leadership in complex HSW environments.Middle East experience and strong knowledge of legislation, risk, and assurance systems.Please note: Obtaining a visa in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is subject to a criminal record check and qualifications and may encounter age restrictions.Our valuesSafety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of well-being in every team.Client focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long-term relationships with our clients.Integrity - Always do the right thing: We influence positive outcomes within our industry while always aligning with our compliance obligations.Create opportunity - For our people to excel: We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
