The company has a long track record of successfully implementing Core, Value-Add, and Opportunistic investment strategies on behalf of its clients.For its German platform, AEW is looking for an Associate Director (m/f/d) within the Asset Management department based in Frankfurt, Germany, with a planned start on 1st December 2025. The Associate Director will become an integral part of the asset management team and take over responsibility for the day-to-day management and strategic enhancement of a dedicated logistics real estate portfolio.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTake responsibility for the asset management of a selected portfolio of institutional-grade logistics assets and developments in Germany.Identify and implement value creation initiatives across the portfolio.Select, coordinate, and monitor external service providers (property management, development partners, brokers, lawyers, technical advisors, architects, etc.).Oversee the leasing strategy and negotiations, including new lease agreements and renewals, as well as the coordination of external leasing brokers.Manage technical measures (maintenance, repairs, CAPEX, ESG) in collaboration with property managers.Support the acquisition onboarding process, including the review of asset and company documentation.Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and reforecasting, comparing actual performance against asset-level targets.Coordinate and execute the company’s ESG strategy in cooperation with Fund Management and SRI teams to ensure sustainability alignment.Collaborate closely with all functions at AEW (Investment, Fund Management, Fund Operations, Sustainability) and external partners.Lead disposal and sales processes for individual assets or sub-portfolios when required.SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREDUniversity degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable asset management role.Proven financial and analytical skills, with proficiency in cash flow modelling and Excel.Strong negotiation and leasing experience in commercial or logistics assets.Sound understanding of asset valuation, capex planning, and performance improvement.Excellent command of Microsoft 365 applications.Existing network within the German real estate market.Proactive and structured working style with a strong sense of team spirit.Business fluency in German and English; French is a plus.Willingness to travel within Germany.OUR BENEFITSA dynamic environment within a growing international organization with flat hierarchies.An ambitious and passionate team with a can-do attitude and open communication culture.Exciting, diverse, and challenging projects within an international framework.Flexible and hybrid working model – up to 8 home office days per month.A modern, collaborative workplace in the heart of Frankfurt.YOUR APPLICATIONAs an employer, AEW offers equal access to employment opportunities regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual preference, social status, handicap, or age.
