Job DescriptionPosition SummaryAUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director of Human Resources to drive its mission of delivering excellence in higher education through innovative HR practices and inclusive leadership. Strategic HR Support:Assist the Director in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with AUIB’s mission and evolving needs. Talent and Team Development:Mentor and support HR staff to enhance team performance and service delivery across departments. Policy and Compliance Oversight:Develop and implement HR policies aligned with Iraqi Labor Law and international best practices, ensuring compliance and transparency. Employee Engagement and Culture:Drive engagement initiatives and foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.Ideal Candidate Profile Strategic Leadership:Proven ability to align HR initiatives with institutional goals and execute with clarity. Higher Education or International Experience:Familiarity with academic environments or global organizations, especially in multicultural settings. Strong Interpersonal Skills:A collaborative communicator who can engage effectively across all levels of the university. Cultural Awareness and Adaptability:Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse perspectives in a cross-cultural workplace. Process Improvement Orientation:A proactive approach to streamlining HR processes and enhancing employee experience.Education and Experience Required Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 recent years in progressive HR roles, including at least 4 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Specific Skills or Expertise: Expertise in HR operations Familiarity with Iraqi Labor Law Talent development Conflict resolution HR systems (HRIS) and reporting Additional Certifications: SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD or equivalent certification preferred.
