Job Description

We are hiring an Associate Editor on behalf of our client, SiteMedia, for a full-time contract from January - September. This role will be working on one of our water industry publications across all platforms - print, digital, social, and experiential.Responsibilities:Contribute to the development of editorial ideas, concepts, and overarching themes for all Water Canada platforms (print, digital, social, experiential).Write, edit, and manage editorial content for the magazine, website, newsletters, and social channels with a strong B2B focus.Ensure all content is accurate, relevant, well-researched, and aligned with audience needs and industry trends.Lead the dissemination and amplification of Water Canada content across social media and other channels to maximize reach and engagement.Oversee the research and creation of the annual Top50 Water Projects report, ensuring quality, accuracy, and industry relevance.Collaborate with the sales team to develop media kits, promotional materials, and other sales-support initiatives.Build and maintain relationships with water leaders, industry partners, and sector stakeholders at local, national, and international levels.Engage regularly with the community through participation in industry events, conferences, and professional activities.Play a key role in overseeing the judging process, communications, and content for the Water Canada Awards program.Work closely with the Editor of ReNew Canada to edit and refine editorial content for the sister publication.Qualifications:2–5 years of experience as an editor/writer. Experience in the water industry is a major asset. Excellent written and spoken English language skills. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize. Proven ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.What We Can Offer You:Salary range: $55,000 - $62,000 (flexible based on experience) One day a week in our Toronto Office.
