Associate Employment Law (32-40 hours per week)Briddge Legal & Finance is a fast-growing company specializing in financial and legal services for international clients. With extensive expertise and experience, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including accounting, tax, payroll, corporate law, immigration, employment law, and HR solutions.Our headquarters is based in Amsterdam (Sloterdijk), with additional offices in The Hague, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, London, and Los Angeles (USA), allowing us to support clients across multiple jurisdictions.We are looking for a highly motivated and pragmatic Associate to join our Employment Law team. In this role, you will work on a wide range of employment law matters including but not limited to providing legal advice on issues such as terminations and workplace disputes, advising on CLA applicability and compliance, as well as drafting and reviewing employment agreements and policies.What you’ll doGive clear, practical advice in English (both written and verbal) to a wide spectrum of international clients from varying sectors, on employment law issues from hiring to terminationsParticipate in advisory calls with clients and/or prospectsDraft and review employment agreements, staff policies, and employee handbooksCheck applicability with Collective Labour Agreements (CLAs) and sectoral pension funds and give practical advice on how to implement and apply themAdvise and guide clients through dismissal procedures through the UWV or via court proceedings. Occasionally you may also be required to represent clients in legal proceedings before Dutch courts or government bodies when neededCollaborate with Briddge’s international legal partners to support clients with employment law issues in other EU countries, including reviewing and drafting of contractsProvide employment law-related advice or training, webinars and/or seminars to clients and/or prospectsKeep informed of and deep dive into (proposed) changes in legislation or developments in case law and actively share this knowledge with others within BriddgeDraft memos and internal know-how documents or template documentation based on legislation or case law.What we’re looking forYou have a Master’s degree in Dutch Employment Law or an HBO Law degree with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in employment law and you know Dutch employment legislation and legal frameworks inside and outYou are;fluent in Dutch and English and comfortable writing and speaking both languagesable to work independently, but also enjoy being part of a team and know when to ask for helpwell-organized, detail-oriented, and like to keep things running smoothlyassertive and independent and enjoy a challenge.able to turn theoretical legal knowledge into practical solutions and adviceclient-focused and able to adapt quickly to a new way of working.If you are passionate about Dutch employment law and eager to work in a dynamic, international environment, we’d love to hear from you!A certificate of conduct (VOG) is required for the position and an assessment and reference check is also part of the application procedure.OfferAt Briddge, we really value our team and strive to create a fun, supportive work environment where collaboration and fresh ideas are always welcome.
