To learn more, visit www.blueowl.comThe Associate/Senior Associate will work closely with Blue Owl Digital Infrastructure’s site selection leadership to diligence and structure energy infrastructure and generation supply transactions for Blue Owl’s hyperscale data center portfolio and associated stategies. The ideal candidate will possess best-in-class analytical capabilities (including financial modeling), organizational acumen, subject-matter knowledge, and commercial transaction experience applicable to evaluating power infrastructure and generation solutions for hyperscale data centers, with a focus on North America. The Associate/Senior Associate will support the Blue Owl Digital Infrastructure team in analyzing, structuring, and executing transactions, and work closely with portfolio company power/utility teams.Scope & Requirements: Day-to-day responsibilities for the Associate/Senior Associate will center on conducting rigorous financial and commercial evaluation of power solutions and strategies for Blue Owl’s existing and potential investments, as well as identifying potential origination opportunities. The Associate/Senior Associate will work collaboratively with Blue Owl teams to identify and support deals, and lead programatic efforts related power infrastructure and generation. The Associate/Senior Associate must be a highly analytical thinker with exceptional quantitative problem-solving abilities across multiple domains. Preferred skills and experience include (1) energy asset financial modeling, power supply structuring, and project development & finance; (2) knowledge of hyperscale data center end-user requirements, location strategy, and energy needs are a plus.Responsibilities And FocusCollaborate with Blue Owl investment and development professionals to diligence power supply opportunities and business plansSupport evaluation of sites alongside Blue Owl real estate investment professionalsCoodinate with Blue Owl Digital Infrastructure portfolio companies on power interconnection and transmission strategies and contracting with power project developers, IPPs, utilities, and other electricity market participants as needed.Prepare analysis, financial modeling, underwriting and detailed recommendations to support potential power infrastructure and generation investments and commitmentsOversee vendor and consultant engagements to provide competitive intelligence related to power asset & market developments (e.g., factors driving regional resource supply, transmission availability, interconnection feasibility).Collaborate with JV partners, portfolio companies, landowners, existing/potential tenants, vendors and functional managers as needed to support Blue Owl objectives.It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based non-exempt position will be $150,000.00-$175,000.00. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
