Job Description

As a member of the Corporate Communication Team, you are responsible for assembling and supporting the international Mammut Athlete Team. With your organizational and communication skills, you orchestrate athlete projects and turn them into exciting stories. Your passion for mountain sports, people, and marketing makes you the link between the athletes, Mammut, and the public. You are the direct contact person for around 12 athletes and also set the sponsorship strategy with regional teams.Your responsibilitiesSupervision of the international Mammut Athlete Team (Climbing, Mountaineering, and Snow) and expansion in the area of Trail RunningAnnual/seasonal conceptualization and coordination of athlete projectsEnsuring the integration of athlete projects into various channels (storytelling for online and print media, Mammut campaigns, trade marketing) in collaboration with the Corporate Communication team and beyond (especially social media and integrated marketing)Integration of athletes as key multipliers in seasonal communications topics, events, and campaigns, in coordination with other marketing teamsInvolving athletes in product-related design and development processes as well as ideation and conceptualization of specific product capsulesManaging inquiries from external cooperation partners (athlete managers, partners, photographers/filmmakers)Evaluation and handling of international sponsorship requests as well as ongoing review of current engagementsManagement of (partial) projects at the intersection of athletes, marketing, and productTogether with the Head of Corporate Communication: scouting for new athletes to strategically and proactively structure the athlete team, including drafting and adjusting athlete contractsTogether with the Head of Corporate Communication: continuous updating and review of strategic guidelines, as well as promoting and expanding collaboration with regional marketing managers in athlete management (lateral leadership)Year-round budget monitoring and timely escalation in case of discrepanciesMonitoring: annual media monitoring and analysis of collaboration with international athletesYour profileDegree in applied science, sports management, business, or marketing/communicationProfessional experience (+5 years) in sponsorship, marketing, or communicationsExperience in interacting with international athletes and managers in the outdoor and sports sector would be a plusStrong communicator with excellent understanding of cross-media marketing communications and a keen sense for storytellingStrong written and spoken skills in German and English, French is a plusIn-depth understanding of at least two of the sponsorship areas (climbing, mountaineering, trail running, or snow)Upbeat personality, communicative, confident, and resilient, with initiative and commitmentOrganizational and coordination talent with a high degree of independenceStrong team and cooperation skills, high level of commitment, quick comprehension, and ability to learnExperience in supervising interns is desirableExcellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 and experience with project management software (e.g., Asana or similar)Openness to new developments in the field of AIDemonstrated passion for mountain sports, people, and natureBenefits of working at Mammutnew ideas are being heard, and a dynamic and agile work environment provides fertile ground for their implementationyou benefit from a hybrid workspace with the possibility to work up to 50% from homemodern employment conditions and a good pension fund solution are self-evidentyou are perfectly equipped for your next adventure thanks to great discountsyour workday is well balanced thanks to the free sports program at Seon, access to the nearby climbing gym as well as the heavily frequented Barista coffee machine
