Job PurposeDriving organizational success by ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives & establishes governance frameworks, monitors progress, manages risks, and provides transparent reporting to stakeholders. Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of digital transformation initiatives across corporate banking, retail banking, ATM network modernization, omni-channel platforms and strategic projectsEnsure all projects Comply with CBE regulations, Banking Laws & the International Standards Such as PCI DSSDefine project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with business strategy and regulatory requirements. Manage cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, vendors, and testing teams, to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee PMO governance processes — project tracking, reporting, risk management, and compliance with bank policies and industry standards.
Develop and maintain project documentation including business cases, charters, schedules, budgets, and change requests. Drive stakeholder engagement across business, operations, IT, and external vendors to secure buy-in and resolve issues. Monitor project KPIs, manage dependencies, and ensure timely escalation and mitigation of risks. Ensure integration of customer experience improvements, security enhancements, and compliance with digital banking regulations. Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), training, and smooth transition to BAU (Business as Usual) operations. Champion agile or hybrid delivery methods to accelerate deployment and optimize resources.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree or PMP/Prince2 certification preferred). 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in banking or Digital financial services. Proven track record delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives (corporate internet banking, mobile banking, ATM upgrades, payment systems and strategic projects). Strong understanding of retail and corporate banking processes, digital channels, cybersecurity, and regulatory frameworks Such as CBE & PCI DSSProficiency in PMO tools and methodologies (MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid). Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong risk management, budgeting, and vendor management capabilities. Ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Experience with integration of emerging technologies (APIs, cloud services, AI/analytics) in banking channels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
