Job Title: Statutory AnalystLocation: Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaContract Duration: 6 MonthsWork Schedule: 40 Hours per week (Office-based)Role SummaryThe Statutory Analyst will be part of the Global Statutory Team, responsible for delivering accurate and compliant financial statements while supporting audits, statutory reporting, and process improvement projects. This role collaborates closely with finance, tax, legal, and operational teams to ensure high-quality statutory compliance and “best-in-class” service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesReview management and statutory financial statements and coordinate audit requests with functional and business teams.Prepare financial statements and audit packs in compliance with local statutory requirements.Perform analytical reviews and reconcile US GAAP to statutory adjustments.Conduct data analysis and root cause investigations, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.Manage government reporting deliverables to local authorities.Support ad-hoc audit and accounting projects as assigned.Evaluate, maintain, and improve financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Requirements2–4 years’ experience in Audit, Finance, or Accounting.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA).Strong technical understanding of IFRS/GAAP and financial analysis/reporting.Proficient in SAP or Oracle, Excel, and HFM.Background in shared services or Big 4 audit firms (PwC, EY, Deloitte) preferred.Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.Desirable AttributesStrong attention to detail and analytical mindset.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Experience using data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
