Job Opportunity: Automation Test EngineerLocation: Cracow - hybrid model (2 days per week from the office)Type of contract: B2BEnglish: B2+Role OverviewWe are looking for an Automation Test Engineer who combines strong skills in test automation (Java/Selenium/Cucumber) with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into high-quality test scenarios. This role offers a blend of technical automation work and business-oriented testing, giving excellent exposure to stakeholders and the end-to-end delivery process.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and maintaining automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Cucumber (BDD) and contributing to the automation framework.Designing automated test cases based on business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.Executing automated tests for functional, regression and API scenarios and analysing results.Creating and running REST API tests (e.g. REST Assured, Postman) and validating backend data using SQL.Reviewing requirements with Business Analysts and translating them into clear test scenarios.Investigating and documenting defects, performing root cause analysis and supporting debugging with developers.Preparing test data and ensuring environments are ready for automation and end-to-end testing.Collaborating with Test Leads, Developers and BA teams to ensure complete test coverage and alignment on test strategy.Reporting progress of automation work and test results to project stakeholders and identifying opportunities for improvements.RequirementsAt least 3 years of experience in test automation with Java + Selenium.Experience with Cucumber / BDD frameworks.Experience with REST API testing and backend validation.Ability to write SQL queries for verification purposes.Understanding of testing methodologies and SDLC.Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.Strong communication in English (B2+).Analytical and proactive approach.Nice to haveExperience with Tosca or performance testing tools.Ability to write small helper scripts in Python.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).What we offer:B2B contract.Private medical care, life insurance, and access to Multisport card.Stable, long-term projects with full-time employment.If you're an Automation Test Engineer who enjoys combining hands-on automation with understanding business requirements and you’re looking for a role with strong stakeholder exposure and end-to-end impact - I’d be happy to hear from you.
