 About The RoleDo you want to join an international team eager to reach our vision of zero loss of lives, no injuries or damages caused by fire and gas?We are looking for a Proposals Engineer to join our Energy Sales team. As a Proposals Engineer you will provide sales and technical support to the Regional Sales Managers in producing proposals for fire and gas detection systems worldwide.

In this role you will actively contribute to develop and exercise processes for more effective proposal operations in the Europa and Africa team as well as provide extended support to the sales resources actively working on securing new orders. Global support to other regions can be expected from time to time. Close cooperation with RSD and RSM’s is to be expected, as well as other global bid resources. Your Responsibilities As a Proposals Engineer Will Be To Prepare and write technical and commercial proposals in response to enquiries from customers, in close cooperation with RSM.

Perform detailed reviews of RFQ and enquiry documentation. Prepare designs and technical specifications for engineered fire and gas systems that meet customer specifications and requirements. Liaise with the sales team, commercial and legal contracts staff throughout the proposals process to ensure proposals are coherent and risk is understood throughout the business. Follow-up and participate in clarifications towards customers with RSM during the bidding phase. Take part of Bid Clarification Meetings (BCM) as needed. Actively use Salesforce (SFDC) to maintain and keep up to date activities related to proposals.

Documentation supply to customers (standard doc and issuance of order specific documentation/declarations) for non-related projects PO’s. According to our sales routine participate in handover from Sales to Project upon receiving PO. Provide pre-sales support to customers and sales teams Who You AreWe are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You communicate clearly and effectively in English, build strong relationships across cultures and functions, and thrive in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

With a forward-thinking mindset and a willingness to learn, you take the initiative, follow through on tasks, and seek continuous improvement. Flexibility to travel occasionally, sometimes on short notice, is also required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical certification in a relevant discipline. Prior experience can compensate for lack of formal degree. At least two years’ experience in similar roles. Experience with designing technical specifications as well as creating technical proposals. Experience within fire and gas systems are an advantage. Experience with Salesforce, JDE and other tools as used by the BU’s is an advantage.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages are considered a plus. We Offer Interesting and challenging assignments in an international environment.
