We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Business Application Specialist to join our IT team in supporting and developing critical business applications across our company. This role is responsible for owning the application support processes, ensuring system reliability and user satisfaction, and driving application enhancements and development to improve operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert for multiple business-critical applications and work closely with cross-functional teams to support business needs and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include: Serve as the primary point of contact for support and issue resolution as well as development needs related to selected business applications. Document the application architecture and improve support processes and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional solutions. Manage application user access, configuration, and administration. Lead or support selected application rollouts, upgrades, migrations, and other IT projects.
Coordinate testing, training, and change management activities. Maintain data quality and consistency across integrated applications. Perform routine audits and system health checks. Ensure best practices for shared file storage and access (OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams) to support cross-functional project collaboration and data governance. Provide user training and documentation on effective use of Teams channels, shared calendars, file libraries, and integration with other Microsoft 365 services. Utilize the appropriate Spectrum and Autronica operational tools such as M-files, Intranet, Teams, Jira and other Atlassian tools (e. g. , Confluence) for issue tracking, project management, documentation, and Agile workflows. Maintain and improve M-files based documentation.
Leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinating regression testing for the applications in your scope. Reports to Autronica IT Manager. To be successful in this role you will need: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Solid experience supporting manufacturing information technology in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in managing and developing business applications. Effective documentation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies is considered a plusExperience in different business and manufacturing IT applications and implementation projects such as ERP, MES, QMS, PLM, Sales tools and Integrations is considered a plus. Familiar with Agile principles, ITIL and SCRUM techniques. Highly motivated with the ability to take ownership of IT issues and requirements and follow through to conclusion. Knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure and core elements like Hosting, Work Stations and Network. Hands on IT skills / experience in scripting & trouble shooting applications.
Solid experience with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, particularly Teams and SharePoint, including configuration and support.
