Job Description

Job Summary: The Procurement Coordinator reporting to the Financial controller will ensures the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for production and operations. This includes sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with Avipro Rwanda LTD standards, managing purchasing processes, and contributing to the resilience of the supply chainKey Responsibilities: Procurement & SourcingDrive both local and foreign purchases to ensure timely supply of feed ingredients, veterinary products, equipment, packaging, and operational needs. Manage the full procurement cycle: purchase requisitions, tenders, supplier selection, negotiation, and purchase orders. Ensure procurement aligns with quality, biosecurity, and company standards.

Purchasing Administration & MonitoringExecute regular purchasing duties and maintain proper documentation. Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of goods. Track supplier performance in terms of quality, reliability, and cost. Budgeting & ReportingSupport the preparation of procurement budgets and forecasts. Maintain accurate procurement dashboards and reports for management. Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings. Supplier Relationship ManagementDevelop strong relationships with suppliers and service providers. Conduct regular supplier evaluations and ensure continuous improvement. Monitor market trends in poultry-related commodities. Compliance & GovernanceEnsure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and Rwandan regulations.

Promote transparency, accountability, and professionalism in all dealings.  REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.    Minimum 3 years’ proven track record in a procurement role, preferably in agribusiness, poultry, or FMCG.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Key Skills & AttributesStrong negotiation and assertiveness skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making capacity. Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
