Urban Decay is passionate about giving a stage to uncensored femininity—defying boring cliches, and standing with those who embrace self-expression, sexuality and fluidity, and everyone’s right to reinvent themselves however they choose.ResponsibilitiesReporting in to Head of US LUXE DMIsResponsible for overseeing all pillars in Global Creative Dept; packaging design, campaigns (concepting w/ agency + internal team post production), video (concepting and post production w/ agency) digital design, social, and eventsManaging 4 direct reports and multiple freelancersWill manage relationship with Global Zones, identifying creative needs and supportPartnering with outside agencies to supplement cross functional needsKey SkillsSharp eye for design and typographyStrong video storytelling3-5 years management experienceFollows beauty and Gen Zennial trendsStrong portfolio of design work, showing solutions to business problems through a solid knowledge of retail-focused design thinking; Luxury and/or beauty category experience a plusConsumer-centered design principles and practices to workUnderstanding of design principles. Typography, color and page layout, and a great eye for detail Experience in artistic direction of photo shoots and able to provide feedback in post-productionAbility to communicate concepts through visual comps and/or interactive prototypes Experience with people management and mentoring a team of designersQUALIFICATION STANDARDSEducation/Experience/ Licenses Or CertificatesDegree in Graphic Design and/or equivalent experience will be consideredBeauty and/or luxury industry experience preferred.Ideally ~10 years in a highly productive creative environmentSOFTWAREExpert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.Expert Mac/System software, basic Mac/PC compatibility troubleshootingKnowledge of Powerpoint, and Microsoft Teams a plusSalary Range: 160k-215k plus bonus
