Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities for pharmaceutical products in international markets. Analyze market trends, competition, and regulatory environments in target countries. Develop market entry strategies and identify potential partners or distributors. Formulate and implement international business strategies in alignment with the company’s overall objectives. Develop business plans for new market entry and growth in existing markets. Manage the P&L for international markets, ensuring profitability and growth targets are met. Work with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in each market.
Oversee the registration and approval process for pharmaceutical products in new markets. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to international markets. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare professionals, distributors, and regulatory authorities. Monitor and analyze sales performance in international markets and adjust strategies as needed. Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with distributors, local pharma companies, and other stakeholders. Ensure effective collaboration and partnership management to optimize product distribution and market penetration.
Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to international markets. Address any issues related to product availability, quality, and distribution. Lead and manage a team of professionals focused on international business development. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the team to achieve business objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in international business development, with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry. In-depth knowledge of global pharmaceutical markets, regulatory environments, and business practices.
Strong strategic planning, analytical, and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
