Backend Developer – Hybrid / On-siteJoin a major national digital transformation programme driving the future of real estate regulation in the UAE. As Backend Developer, you’ll build scalable microservices and APIs that power end-to-end digital processes, from escrow management to title deed issuance.The RoleYou’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services in a cloud-native environment. Working closely with frontend, blockchain, and SAP integration teams, you’ll ensure data flows securely and efficiently across a modular microservices architecture.What You’ll Be Doing• Build and maintain Node.js microservices for key modules such as Off-Plan Sales and Escrow Management.• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external integrations.• Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS/Azure.• Integrate with systems like SAP S/4HANA, UAE Pass, and Payment Gateways.• Design robust data models and asynchronous workflows using Kafka or RabbitMQ.• Implement authentication, authorization, and API security best practices.• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and code reviews within an Agile team.What You’ll Need to Succeed• 3+ years of backend development experience, with strong Node.js (Express.js, NestJS).• Experience with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.• Proficiency in REST/GraphQL APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases.• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven systems.• Experience with OAuth2, JWT, and secure API integration.• Exposure to SAP or blockchain systems is an advantage.What’s in It for You• Build large-scale, production-ready systems for a flagship UAE platform.• Collaborate with domain experts in fintech, SAP, and blockchain.• Modern, containerized tech stack and full DevOps support.• Competitive salary and long-term regional career opportunities.Next Steps:If you’re a backend engineer looking to apply your skills to meaningful national-scale work, we’d love to hear from you.
